At the Kame House, the Turtle Hermit has Hironobu Kageyama on the radio and is getting ready to visit Goku at the hospital when Bulma calls. At the hospital, Goku asks the doctor when he can start his training again, and is worried he is getting flabby, when the Hermit arrives. Chichi excuses herself to attend to some laundry. The Turtle Hermit relays the contents of Bulma's message to Goku even as his hand gets away from him and finds Goku's nurse once again. Just as he finishes telling Goku about the Ki that was even greater than Vegeta's, Yajirobe shows up with a fresh crop of Senzu beans. Against his doctor's orders, Goku swallows one right away, then jumps up out of bed. Astonishing the hospital staff, a fully restored Goku flexes his muscles, shattering his cast and ripping off his bandages! He quickly changes into a gi provided to him by Kaio-sama, takes the pouch of Senzu from Yajirobe and prepares to head off into space. When Bulma's father came to visit Goku in the hospital, Goku asked him to start working on a ship that he could use to get to Namek. Since Kami-sama's ship was constructed from materials unavailable on Earth, Goku had other plans. There were still two other Saiyan ships available to work with — the ship that Raditz came to Earth in, and the ship that he himself had come to Earth in as an infant. Gohan had messed up Raditz's ship pretty bad during their big fight, but Goku's ship was still in pretty good shape. Between the two ships, Bulma's father had a pretty good chance of reconstructing a craft that would get Goku to Namek. Goku calls Kinto Un and heads off out the window, leaving behind a shocked doctor and nurse and an infuriated Chichi. Once the Turtle Hermit fills Yajirobe in on what has happened, Yajirobe can't believe how excited Goku is to get to Namek. The chance to fight someone so strong must be too much for his own Saiyan blood to resist.
Gohan and Kuririn continue to hurry toward
the location of the fifth Dragonball. Gohan is using more Ki than
Kuririn is comfortable with, and Kuririn coaches him.
Bulma's mother returns to the ship with Oolong, Pu-erh and a frothy pitcher of beer. Suddenly, the ship begins its launch sequence, whipping up a lot of wind. Goku engages the engine, and the ship streaks off into space at an incredible rate! Lighting up another cigarette, Dr. Briefs marvels at how well the ship is working, considering how rushed he was to put it together. Kuririn and Gohan approach their destination, supress their Ki completely, and walk the rest of the way. They look down from a cliff on a Namekian village, but discover they are right in front of the leaders of the party, and decide to move around to a position behind them. Looking down from their new vantage point, they see that the native construction is just like Kami-sama's spaceship. Kuririn figures they could handle the soldiers going through the buildings, but there was no way they could deal with the three men in the center of the village common, particularly the one in the middle. Kuririn suddenly notices that the other two, flanking the leader, are carrying huge Dragonballs! Dodoria looks up at the cliff behind him. His Scouter registered a slight power source up there, but it has disappeared. It must have been a small animal or a large insect. Gohan and Kuririn, now backed away from the cliff and shaking like leaves, consider themselves fortunate that they weren't seen. They peek back over the edge of the cliff more carefully to see what is happening. The five villagers who are at home are brought out to the village common — three elderly and two children. They all resemble Piccolo in their features, and are Namekian natives. On his ship, Goku begins his training at 20G, twice what he went though on Kaio's World. He visibly struggles, but since he only has six days, decides this is the best pace, and begins his warm-ups. |
